Welcome to vfx.store. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, products, downloads, courses, and services. By using this website or purchasing any digital product from vfx.store, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the website or purchase or download our products.

1. About vfx.store

vfx.store sells digital products for visual effects artists, filmmakers, editors, and content creators. Our products may include VFX assets, individual asset downloads, asset bundles, video courses, tutorials, project files, previews, image sequences, video files, or other downloadable digital materials.

All products are delivered digitally. We do not currently offer subscriptions.

2. Purchases and Digital Delivery

When you purchase a product from vfx.store, you are buying a license to use the digital product, not ownership of the product itself.

After checkout, your purchased files may be made available by download link, customer account, email, or another digital delivery method. Courses may be delivered as complete downloadable files, folders, archives, videos, project files, or other course materials.

You are responsible for ensuring that your email address, billing information, and account details are accurate.

We may update, replace, or remove products from the store at any time. We do not guarantee that any specific product will remain available forever, so we recommend downloading and safely backing up your purchases.

3. License to Use Digital Products

Your use of any purchased VFX asset, bundle, course, tutorial, project file, or other digital product is governed by the license selected or provided at checkout, product page, or in our separate License Agreement, if applicable.

Unless otherwise stated, purchased VFX assets may be used as part of a larger creative work, such as films, videos, commercials, games, social media content, trailers, motion graphics, visual effects shots, client work, or similar productions.

Courses and educational materials are licensed for your personal or internal business learning use only, depending on the license purchased. You may watch, download, and use the course materials for your own learning, training, and production workflow, but you may not share, resell, redistribute, upload, copy, publicly display, or make the course materials available to others.

You may not claim ownership of the original asset files, course files, videos, project files, or other digital product materials themselves. All rights not expressly granted remain with vfx.store or the applicable rights holder.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • resell, redistribute, share, upload, sublicense, or give away the original product files;

  • share course downloads, tutorial videos, project files, or course materials with others;

  • upload courses or product files to public websites, file-sharing services, cloud folders, learning platforms, social media, private groups, or marketplaces;

  • make screen recordings, copies, mirrors, archives, or reuploads of our courses or downloadable materials for distribution;

  • make the assets available as standalone downloads, stock media, templates, asset packs, course packs, educational products, or competing products;

  • include the assets in any product where the asset files can be extracted, downloaded, or reused by others;

  • use automated tools, scraping, bots, or other methods to harvest, download, or copy content from the website;

  • bypass download limits, security systems, licensing restrictions, or payment systems;

  • use the website or products for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose;

  • falsely represent that you created or own the original asset files, courses, tutorials, videos, project files, or other product materials.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the products complies with all applicable laws and with the license terms for the product you purchased.

5. AI and Machine Learning Use

You may not use any content from vfx.store, including assets, courses, tutorials, previews, metadata, product images, videos, downloads, project files, or modified versions of our materials, to train, test, develop, fine-tune, improve, or operate artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, neural networks, datasets, synthetic data systems, or similar technologies without our prior written permission.

This restriction applies whether the materials are used directly, indirectly, alone, modified, composited, transcribed, extracted, or combined with other materials.

6. Product Information and Availability

We try to describe and display our products as accurately as possible, including file formats, resolution, frame rate, alpha channel information, course contents, software compatibility, previews, and technical details. However, we do not guarantee that all product descriptions, previews, colors, course descriptions, compatibility information, or technical details will be error-free.

We may correct errors, update product information, change prices, modify products, discontinue products, or cancel orders where necessary.

7. Refunds

Because vfx.store sells digital products, all sales are generally final once the files have been accessed, downloaded, or delivered.

If you experience a technical issue with a product, contact us at support@vfx.store and we will review the issue. At our discretion, we may provide troubleshooting help, replacement files, store credit, or a refund where appropriate.

We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases including, but not limited to, change of mind, accidental purchase, excessive downloading, misuse of the product, violation of license terms, or inability to use the product due to incompatible software, hardware, skill level, or workflow.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

8. Accounts and Security

You may need an account to access purchases or downloads. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.

You must not share your account access, download links, course files, purchased files, or product materials with unauthorized users. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us as soon as possible.

9. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party services for payments, hosting, analytics, email delivery, file delivery, or other store functions. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, payment providers, or external links that are not controlled by vfx.store.

10. Intellectual Property

The website, branding, product previews, VFX assets, course videos, tutorial materials, project files, product files, text, images, videos, designs, and other materials on vfx.store are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, sell, license, or exploit any part of the website or store content except as permitted by these Terms or the applicable product license.

11. User Feedback and Submissions

If you send us feedback, suggestions, ideas, reviews, testimonials, or other submissions, you agree that we may use them to improve, promote, or operate vfx.store without obligation to compensate you, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You must not submit anything unlawful, infringing, misleading, harmful, or malicious.

12. Prohibited Website Use

You may not use the website to:

  • violate any law or regulation;

  • infringe our rights or the rights of others;

  • upload or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code;

  • interfere with the security or functionality of the website;

  • scrape, crawl, copy, or extract content without permission;

  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, servers, or files;

  • submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

We may suspend or terminate access to the website or downloads if we believe these Terms have been violated.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and products are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, vfx.store makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the website, products, downloads, courses, compatibility, availability, performance, accuracy, results, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not guarantee that purchasing or completing a course will produce any specific creative, technical, professional, financial, or career outcome.

We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that all product issues will be corrected.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, vfx.store and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, suppliers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, production delays, business interruption, or replacement costs.

Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless vfx.store, its owners, employees, contractors, partners, suppliers, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the website or products, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, account, downloads, courses, or products if we believe you have violated these Terms, violated a product license, misused the website, or engaged in fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful activity.

Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including ownership, license restrictions, course distribution restrictions, AI restrictions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
