This License Agreement explains how you may use digital products purchased or downloaded from vfx.store, including VFX assets, asset bundles, courses, tutorials, project files, image sequences, video files, and other downloadable materials.

By purchasing, downloading, or using any product from vfx.store, you agree to this License Agreement.

1. Individual License vs Business License

vfx.store offers two license types: Individual License and Business License. You must choose the correct license based on who will use the product, how the files will be accessed, and your annual revenue or funding.

Individual License

The Individual License is for one person only, such as a freelancer, student, hobbyist, or solo creator.

You may use the Individual License if:

• you are the only person using the product;
• the files are not shared with a team, company, client, or other users;
• the files are not stored in a shared location accessible by others;
• your total annual revenue or funding is less than $200,000 USD.

The Individual License includes commercial use, as long as the product is used according to this Agreement.

You do not qualify for the Individual License if you are buying on behalf of a company, studio, agency, team, employer, or organization, or if your annual revenue or funding is $200,000 USD or more.

Business License

The Business License is required if:

• the product will be used by a company, studio, agency, team, employer, or organization;
• more than one person needs access to the files;
• the files will be stored on shared storage, servers, cloud drives, or production systems accessible by multiple people;
• the license needs to belong to a business rather than one individual;
• your total annual revenue or funding is $200,000 USD or more.

The Business License allows one legal entity to use the product internally across its employees and contractors. It does not cover separate companies, clients, subsidiaries, parent companies, or unrelated legal entities unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. License, Not Ownership

When you purchase or download a product from vfx.store, you receive a license to use the product under the terms of this Agreement. You do not own the original files, assets, course materials, or intellectual property.

All rights not expressly granted remain with vfx.store or the applicable rights holder.

3. Permitted Use of VFX Assets

VFX assets purchased from vfx.store may be used in larger creative productions, including films, commercials, trailers, YouTube videos, social media content, games, broadcast projects, client work, motion graphics, visual effects shots, and similar productions.

You may modify, composite, color grade, edit, and combine the assets with other material as part of your production.

Your final production must add substantial creative value and must not make the original asset files available as standalone files, reusable elements, or extractable downloads.

4. Permitted Use of Courses

Courses, tutorials, project files, and educational materials are licensed for learning and internal training only.

You may watch, download, and use course materials for your own learning, training, and workflow development.

You may not share, resell, redistribute, upload, copy, publicly display, teach from, repackage, or make the course materials available to others.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

• resell, redistribute, share, upload, sublicense, or give away the original product files;
• sell or distribute the files as stock footage, VFX assets, templates, overlays, asset packs, course packs, project files, datasets, or similar products;
• make the files available on marketplaces, file-sharing services, public websites, cloud folders, private groups, learning platforms, or shared drives not allowed by your license;
• include the files in a product where they can be extracted, downloaded, or reused by others;
• claim ownership of the original files or represent them as your own standalone assets;
• use the files in a logo, trademark, service mark, or brand identity;
• use the files for unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, deceptive, or harmful content;
• bypass, remove, or interfere with any download limits, watermarking, security, or license restrictions.

6. Client Work

You may use VFX assets from vfx.store in client projects, as long as the assets are incorporated into a larger final production.

You may deliver final rendered work to your client, but you may not give your client the original product files, source files, downloadable assets, or reusable versions of the assets.

If a client wants to reuse the assets separately, they must purchase their own license.

7. AI and Machine Learning

You may not use any product from vfx.store, including VFX assets, courses, previews, metadata, project files, modified files, or derivative versions, to train, test, develop, fine-tune, validate, improve, or operate artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, neural networks, datasets, synthetic data systems, or similar technologies without prior written permission from vfx.store.

This applies whether the files are used directly, indirectly, alone, modified, composited, extracted, or combined with other material.

8. Storage and Access

You are responsible for keeping downloaded files secure and preventing unauthorized access, copying, sharing, or distribution.

Individual License files may only be accessed by the named individual license holder.

Business License files may only be accessed by authorized employees or contractors of the licensed business for internal production use.

9. Incorrect License or Misuse

By purchasing a license, you confirm that the license type you selected is accurate.

If you purchase an Individual License but qualify for or require a Business License, your license may be invalid until the correct license is purchased.

vfx.store may request reasonable information to verify license eligibility or investigate suspected misuse.

10. Termination

This license will automatically terminate if you violate this Agreement.

If your license is terminated, you must stop using the products, delete all copies under your control, and stop distributing any work that unlawfully uses the products.

Sections related to ownership, restrictions, AI use, liability, and misuse will continue to apply after termination.

11. No Warranties

Products from vfx.store are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that the products will meet your specific needs, be compatible with every software setup, or be error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, vfx.store will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, production delays, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim related to a product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product.

13. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this License Agreement from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page.

The license terms in effect at the time of your purchase will generally apply to that purchase, unless an update is required by law or is made to clarify existing terms.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Norway, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
